Mr Null's Wicked Wares: Pragmatic Play's 5,000x Mystery Slot

Mr Null's Wicked Wares is a magic-themed slot from Pragmatic Play. The sorcerer Mr Null watches over a 3-4-4-4-3 grid, and the game's maximum win is 5,000x the stake. The official page lists the RTP at 96.49%.

Mystery symbols and multipliers

The base game revolves around mystery symbols, which land on reels 2, 3 and 4. Each one turns into a randomly chosen paying symbol and carries a multiplier between 2x and 10x. That multiplier increases the win whenever the symbol is part of a winning combination.

Things get more interesting when two or more mystery symbols contribute to the same win. Their multipliers are multiplied together rather than simply added, so a combination with several of them can pay far more than a single mystery symbol would.

Free spins with growing multipliers

Three scatters trigger the bonus game, which starts with seven free spins. Every extra scatter that lands during the feature adds one more spin, so a round can run longer than its opening count.

During the bonus, a number sits above each of the three middle reels. Each starts at 2 and rises by 1 every time a mystery symbol lands on that reel. That number then sets the win multiplier for any mystery symbol landing on the same reel. A reel that has been hit often therefore becomes more valuable as the round goes on.

Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play's head of public relations, says these rising counters keep the momentum going through the bonus.

Special bets and direct bonus access

In some markets only, players can switch on a set of special bets. They guarantee mystery symbols on every spin and raise the minimum multiplier. The bonus can also be bought directly, either as standard Free Spins or as Super Free Spins. The Super version starts the reel multipliers at 5x instead of 2x.

Mr Null's Wicked Wares follows Jelly Express and Sweet Bonanza 2500 in the studio's catalogue. Pragmatic Play says it develops up to eight new slots every month.
