Death Dominion: Pragmatic Play's Grim Reaper Slot, 20,000x Max Win

Pragmatic Play has released Death Dominion, a gothic slot that puts the Grim Reaper beside the reels. He lurks among blood-spattered headstones and sneers as the symbols land. The maximum win is 20,000 times the stake, and the RTP is 96.54%.

Pay anywhere, with tumbles

There are no paylines. A symbol pays anywhere on the grid once at least 8 matching symbols appear. Winning symbols then vanish and new ones drop in, so a single spin can produce several wins in a row.

The symbol set fits the setting: tombstones, crosses, candles, poison vials, ravens and skeletal horses. Multiplier symbols can reach 100x in the base game and raise the winnings of that spin.

The Doom symbol is the one to watch. It appears at the end of a tumble sequence and can do one of two things. It either turns into a random multiplier or wipes out every multiplier already in play. Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play's Director of PR, described the mechanic as a fresh take on the popular multiplier formula.

Free spins and the three upgraded modes

Landing 4 to 6 scatters starts the bonus with 12 to 20 free spins, and 3 or more scatters during the feature add 5 more spins. Multipliers in the bonus can carry values of up to 1,000x. Each one is added to a running total multiplier, which applies to the whole bonus win. A Doom symbol can still knock that total back to zero.

Any combination of four or more scatters that includes a special Dominion or Immortal scatter triggers one of three enhanced bonus games:

• Dominion Free Spins: Doom symbols can add extra multipliers.
• Immortal Free Spins: Doom symbols always turn into multipliers and can no longer nullify.
• Dominion Immortal Free Spins: both effects apply in the same bonus.

That gives four versions of the free spins round in total, built from three scatter types.

Buying the bonus

Where the option is permitted, players can buy the free spins directly. The bonus can also be triggered through one of four special bet options. Availability depends on the market, so check the rules at your casino before looking for either feature.

Death Dominion follows Pragmatic Play's recent release Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark. Its listed RTP is 96.54%.
