Alice: Time Rift Slot by Thunderkick: Steampunk Wonderland

Thunderkick, the Swedish studio, has taken Lewis Carroll's story somewhere much grimmer with Alice: Time Rift. Wonderland has fractured, time can't be trusted, and the action plays out in a brutal, half-shattered Undercity. The slot uses a classic video format, but the steampunk look sets it well apart from the usual Alice adaptations.

A Wonderland gone wrong

The familiar cast has switched roles. The White Rabbit, once Alice's guide, is now an underworld kingpin wielding a mysterious Time device. To stop him, Alice teams up with the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. It is an uneasy alliance: each of them has their own motives, loyalty is fragile, and time is used as a weapon.

How the features work

Scatters and Wilds trigger the Sticky Respins. During the respins, symbols lock in place on the reels, so winning clusters can build up from one spin to the next. The mechanic also produces near-misses, those spins where a winning combination falls just short, and these keep the tension up.

The Bonus Game starts when a randomly selected symbol expands across the reels. That symbol shifts the balance of the grid and opens up new winning possibilities. Because the symbol is picked at random, each activation can play out differently.
